WoW Forever Beast Mastery Hunter Build

The easiest leveling build at the level 30 cap: everything in Beast Mastery, so your pet and hawks hit harder and crit more, with Summon Hawk at level 25 as your main damage button.

21 / 0 / 0Level 30 · 21 pointsUpdated 31 October 2026 · Beta 1.60.1, hotfixes to 30 Oct

The talent trees still change between beta builds. We re-check this build on launch day (4 November 2026).

Talent descriptions come from the game client files (build 1.60.1.70707). Some talent values are applied by the game server and can differ in game; ranks marked as Classic Era data are not in the Forever client yet. The trees include the beta's server hotfixes (as of 2026-10-30) from the talentsforever.com data export (CC BY 4.0); icons and names come from the game files.

Talent order by level

  1. 10–14Deadly Aspects×5
  2. 15–16Focused Fire×2
  3. 17–19Endurance Training×3
  4. 20–24Unleashed Fury×5
  5. 25Summon Hawk
  6. 26–29Ferocity×4
  7. 30Spirit Bond

Alternatives

  • With the Talented Legacy perk (+5 points): Ferocity to 5/5, Bestial Swiftness x1, Intimidation x1 and Bestial Discipline x2.
  • The 30 Oct hotfix moved Pathfinding down to row 3, so the popular order with Pathfinding at levels 17 and 18 no longer works. Those 2 points now go into Endurance Training, as in the simulated level 60 build.
  • Your last point is flexible: Bestial Discipline for mana regeneration while casting, or a fifth Ferocity point instead of Spirit Bond.
  • Improved Revive Pet x2 is a fine swap for two Endurance Training points if your pet dies often.

Rotation & priority

  1. Aspect of the Hawk up; send the pet in and let it land 2 or 3 hits.
  2. Drop Immolation Trap before the pull (Explosive Trap on packs).
  3. Open with Aimed Shot and keep Serpent Sting on the target.
  4. From level 25, keep two hawks out with Summon Hawk; recast as each one expires.
  5. Arcane Shot only when both hawks have 6 sec or more left, since they share a cooldown.
  6. Rapid Fire on cooldown; Raptor Strike between Auto Shots if a mob reaches you.

Stat priority

  1. Agility: 2 Ranged Attack Power per point and crit, which your pet inherits
  2. Hit
  3. Intellect for mana
  4. Stamina for safer solo pulls

How the build works

This Beast Mastery Hunter build makes your pet and hawks do most of the damage. Unleashed Fury adds 15% to their damage and Ferocity 8% to their crit chance at 4/5. Focused Fire gives you and your pet 2% more damage while the pet is out, which is always.

Summon Hawk is the button that defines Beast Mastery in WoW Forever. A hawk dive-bombs your target for 32 plus 5% of your Ranged Attack Power and keeps attacking for 18 sec. You can have two out at once, and both benefit from Unleashed Fury and Ferocity.

Deadly Aspects is your own damage: with Aspect of the Hawk, Auto Shot has a 10% chance to raise your ranged attack speed by 30% for 12 sec. Endurance Training adds 9% health and armor to your pet, and Spirit Bond heals you and your pet for 1% of max health every 10 sec.

Leveling tips

Spend levels 10 to 14 on Deadly Aspects, then Focused Fire and Endurance Training. Unleashed Fury takes levels 20 to 24, and Summon Hawk arrives at level 25, the first moment row 4 opens. Pick it up as soon as you can; it is a big jump in damage.

Let your pet build threat before you shoot. Traps can be used in combat in WoW Forever, so an Immolation Trap under your target is free damage. If a mob gets to you, weave Raptor Strike between Auto Shots instead of backing away every time.

Beast Mastery is also fine in dungeons at this level, though you need to watch pet threat and turn off Growl when you are not tanking with it. These Hunter talents are the same for solo and group play.

Changes in WoW Forever

Summon Hawk and Focused Fire are new; Focused Fire replaced Improved Eyes of the Beast. Unleashed Fury and Ferocity now also affect hawks, and Unleashed Fury was fixed in October so it really increases pet damage. Pets inherit 10% of your Attack Power and 100% of your crit. The 28 Oct hotfix lowered the Ranged Attack Power from Aspect of the Hawk, and the 30 Oct data moved Pathfinding to row 3 and Improved Revive Pet to row 2.

Toward level 60

Provisional, but this is the spec with the best agreement. Guides and the simulated build both land on roughly 31 points in Beast Mastery (Frenzy, Intimidation, Bestial Discipline, Bestial Wrath) and 20 in Marksmanship for Lethal Attacks, Careful Aim, Rapid Killing, Trueshot Aura and Mortal Shots.

FAQ

At level 30: Deadly Aspects, Focused Fire, Endurance Training, Unleashed Fury, Summon Hawk, Ferocity and one point of Spirit Bond. All 21 points are in Beast Mastery.

Is Beast Mastery good for leveling?

Yes. Guides agree it is the best and easiest Hunter leveling spec: your pet tanks, your hawks add steady damage, and you rarely need to rest.

What stats does a Beast Mastery Hunter need?

Agility first, then hit. Your pet gets 10% of your Attack Power and all of your crit, so Agility also makes it stronger.

What does the Talented Legacy perk change?
