Entrance

In the north-western desert of Tanaris. Both factions start from Gadgetzan and ride north-west across the dunes to the city gate.

Overview

Zul’Farrak was once a gem of the troll empire, and the Sandfury tribe still rules it under the desert sun. Their priests experiment with dark magic and undead, and they hold several adventurers captive at the top of their great pyramid.

The dungeon is mostly outdoors: sandy plazas, a graveyard, a sacred pool and the pyramid itself. It is a favourite of levelling groups in their 40s thanks to the many Gadgetzan quests and the memorable stairs fight against waves of trolls.

Route

From the gate, head to the graveyard for Witch Doctor Zum’rah and the scarab-filled areas around Antu’sul and Theka the Martyr. Hydromancer Velratha (and Gahz’rilla, if you have the Mallet) are at the sacred pool. The centerpiece is the pyramid: free the prisoners at the top of the steps, survive the waves, then fight Nekrum Gutchewer and Shadowpriest Sezz’ziz. Afterwards the way opens to Chief Ukorz Sandscalp.
