Entrance

Dire Maul is the ruined city of Eldre'Thalas in central Feralas. Horde groups fly to Camp Mojache just east of the ruins; Alliance groups come from Feathermoon Stronghold off the west coast. The wings open off the ruins' central courtyard; the East wing is the Warpwood Quarter.

Overview

The eastern wing of Dire Maul, the Warpwood Quarter, was once part of the highborne city of Eldre’Thalas. Today the satyrs of Alzzin the Wildshaper have corrupted it with the felvine, a plant fed by demonic energy, and the trees themselves have turned hostile.

It is the shortest of the three wings and a natural starting point for a Dire Maul session: the imp Pusillin carries the key that unlocks the other two wings, and the wing has a few quick quests for both factions.

    Zevrim Thornhoof

    Satyr leader performing sacrifices in a pit near the start. Sacrifice stuns a player and drains them; Intense Pain hits the tank — kill him quickly to cut the drain short.

    Hydrospawn

    Water elemental in the courtyard pool. Massive Geyser throws players into the air and Riptide slows; spread out a little and keep healers safe from the knock-ups.

    Lethtendris

    Blood elf warlock tapping into the Warpwood's energies, accompanied by her imp Pimgib. Void Bolt and Curse of Tongues; kill the imp and keep her interrupted.

    Pusillin

    Mischievous imp who runs away when you talk to him and has to be chased through several rooms; at the end he fights with Fire Blast and Blast Wave and calls in more imps. Drops the Crescent Key used for the West and North wings.

    Alzzin the Wildshaper

    Satyr druid at the heart of the Warpwood. He shifts between satyr, tree and beast forms, knocks the tank back and casts Mangle and Wither; fight him away from the treant packs.

    Chase the imp Pusillin through the wing and take back the Book of Incantations he stole.

  • Talk to Pusillin first: the chase pulls you through the wing, and his Crescent Key opens the doors in Dire Maul West and North.
  • East is the fastest Dire Maul wing and a good farming spot for herbs and leather.
  • The treant packs near Alzzin hit hard; pull carefully.
